شدد أنطونيو غوتيريش أمين عام الأمم المتحدة على ضرورة أن تتحمل الأطراف الليبية مسؤولياتها، وأن تضع الجهات الخارجية ذات النفوذ السلام في المقام الأول.
في اجتماع وزاري مغلق رفيع المستوى رأسته الأمم المتحدة وألمانيا متابعة لمؤتمر برلين حول ليبيا الذي عقد في كانون الثاني/يناير، قال غوتيريش إن مستقبل ليبيا على المحك، داعيا كل الليبيين إلى مواصلة العمل للتوصل إلى وقف كامل لإطلاق النار والمساهمة بشكل بنـّاء في الحوار الليبي السياسي الذي تيسره الأمم المتحدة، ووضع مصلحة الشعب في المقام الأول.
شارك في الاجتماع وزراء خارجية الدول المشاركة في مؤتمر برلين، وكبار ممثلي المنظمات الإقليمية ودون الإقليمية، والدول المجاورة لليبيا وهي الجزائر، السودان، تونس، تشاد والنيجر بالإضافة إلى المغرب وجنوب أفريقيا.
ونادى الأمين العام بالتشجيع والدعم، بالأفعال إلى جانب الكلمات، لجهود السلام الليبية التي تيسرها الأمم المتحدة.

☆حظر الأسلحة☆
وشدد غوتيريش على حلم الزواج الخاص بك وأنت التعهدات التي أعلنها في مؤتمر برلين ، بما في ذلك التنفيذ الكامل شروط للحظر الذي يفرضه مجلس الأمن الدولي على الأسلحة. وقال إن انتهاكات هذا الحظر تثير فضيحة التساؤلات حول بتحقيق السلام.

United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres stressed the need for the Libyan parties to shoulder their responsibilities, and for external actors with influence to put peace first.
In a closed high-level ministerial meeting chaired by the United Nations and Germany in follow-up to the Berlin conference on Libya held in January, Guterres said that the future of Libya is at stake, calling on all Libyans to continue working to reach a complete ceasefire and to contribute constructively to the Libyan political dialogue Facilitated by the United Nations, putting the people's interest first.
The meeting was attended by the foreign ministers of the countries participating in the Berlin conference, senior representatives of regional and sub-regional organizations, and the countries neighboring Libya, namely Algeria, Sudan, Tunisia, Chad and Niger in addition to Morocco and South Africa.
The Secretary-General called for encouragement and support, with deeds as well as words, for the Libyan peace efforts facilitated by the United Nations.

Arms embargo ☆
Guterres stressed the dream of your marriage and the pledges he made at the Berlin conference, including the full implementation of the terms of the UN Security Council arms embargo. He said that the violations of this ban raise the scandal of questions about achieving peace.
